"Trust Björn Schmelzer to find the dramaturgical spark that can set fire to Josquin repertoire (the late chansons) that has rarely been credibly recorded or performed before. We will never know what Josquin felt and feared in his final years, but Graindelavoix makes a gut-wrenching, soul-grinding plea for a man who abhorred death, but was somehow able to escape, or at least exorcise this Angst in his music."
